During WWII, there were lots of activities on the homefront. Bond drives, scrap drives, marches, patriotic displays were everywhere. It was a photographers paradise and the photogenicity of these activities was extreme. Lots of photos were taken by staff photographers and laypersons. Many have found their way to archives of museums and organizations dedicated to the preservation of historical documents. However some emerge and fall into the hands of collectors. This section is dedicated to photographs of homefront America. Period photos are often loaded with detail so look with a keen eye.
